Ice Fishing on Lake Superior

The Troop Decided they wanted to take a trip to go Ice fishing.    We had an awesome time, and here are some of the pictures from the adventure.  

 

         1st night at Cole Canoe base in Alger, Michigan

Woke up early for Ice fishing on Lake Superior

It's easier to know when fish aren't even around when you have a camera to see the bait.

 We did end up catching a few.

But it was slow...

Still a beautiful place to sit and fish for a few outs.   MQT Adventures and Guide Service were awesome.

But we wanted to do some exploring as well.   Munising falls was Beautifully frozen.

                                           

Another set of falls, was equally "cool". 

but I really enjoyed the walk out to the Ice Caves on Grand Island... 1 mile walk out to the island across the frozen great lake!
